3800 rpm spring

Do I need to clip it or not? Might be putting it in tomorrow. I don't want to screw it up j00 know?

My 4k spring runs great unclipped.
89 d250 getrag ripper, pump maxed,timed to the head,pull cable shutoff, 354 spring, straight pipe, 4:10 gears, in the shop: he351cw and 3:07 gears
90 w350 nv4500,ic motor, stock, 5" stack w a western hauler on back

The bottom line is . . . .

If the new spring is a little longer than that you remove, you can clip it, or just re-index the throttle shaft. No big whoop. :)

So is the 3800 spring longer than the 3200 spring? Or are there different ones out there that are diferent lengths?

It's a little longer than the 3200 but you don't need to clip it. Just reindex the throttle shaft to where it idles right.

I diddnt want to clip mine so i reindexed. I am putting a 354-4200 in now. I diddnt hit any higher rpm with the 374 than the 366 fyi.... Was dissappointed. Hopeing for better results with the 354
93 D250- pump maxed, 3800 spring, hx35, denny T pump top, 7x.015 injectors, timing+, Coolertubz, raptor 150, boost nipple, 4" DP to 6" aussie stacks, built tranny, asa intake, DNR tps, more HP mods, isspro boost, fuel pressure, egt, tranny temp, 5k tach, chrome and powder coating here & there.
Not On Yet: 60#VS

Any instructions of reindexing the throttle or a youtube vid floating around? I'm getting a 4k spring tomorrow...
