Went to NAPA for an alternator and it turns out I had bought my previous one from NAPA with a lifetime warranty so I got a new (re-man) one for free. I installed it and IT WORKS! MY TRUCK IS FINALLY CHARGING! We'll see how long it lasts but hopefully I won't have any more troubles with my charging system for a long while yet.
I thought the starter on the Subaru was going out as well so I jacked it up to remove it, and one of the cables has a very loose nut. Tightened it up and haven't had a problem since. I still need to get the timing belt done but that will have to wait for a few weeks.
Now I just have to tackle the other electrical problems my truck is having...
