Injector question

Postby dragrdan » Fri Oct 19, 2012 5:50 pm

I just picked up a set of injectors I had a local shop work on. They have new nozzles. The holes in the nozzles are "canted" and look to me like they are for an injector that enters the chamber at an angle. I was in a rush, and didn't look at them when I picked them up. The shop is closed til Monday, so I can't call to ask them until then. What is your opinion, did they make a mistake or ???

They are correct. Our injectors are at an angle in the chamber. Just look at how they sit in the head. ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

That's one of the purposes for the little ball built into the side of the injectors, It goes in a matching groove in the head's injector bores so as to assure correct positioning of the injector's spray pattern, in relation to the piston/bowl.

So says that voice in my head. :?
