using a hobbs pressure switch to turn on secound fuel pump?

Postby 78fordf150ranger » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:26 am

Got thinking at work today, If.I was to get a electric fuel pump and keep the stock lp but had a Hobbs switch hooked up so under hard acceleration it would kick the electric fuel pump on and once the boost gose back down the electric pump would shut down so I wouldn't have to high of fuel pressure and blow the seals out of the injector pump.

Would this work.

Why not run hplp with a boost reference regulator?
92 D350 Cab and Chassis. Auto stock, wiring gremlins. 330k miles
92 W250 Ext cab rotted completely out. Auto, pump maxed, 215 ppump nozzles, Denny T2 pin.
85 D350 single wheel, converted to cummins, getrag, turned up 2 turns and afc screw flush.
