and stop puttin words in my mouth

I was referring to KTA's entire setup, not your jump the gun response about a fuel system.

seeker1056 anytime in the winter is best, underpsi is my budy we can all get together sometime, i will let you know the next time we have a dyno day at our local shop, what coulor is you truck, and how much power you make with your twins, i have a set of twins im working on and 5inch exaust, im ordering the 14mm from kta, probaly wont put it on right away though

the 1/2 ball valve was just there to blead of air but i just hocked up my return line its way better,
and i have the next pump up from the a1000 in the mail it should pump out 25% more psi then the a1000,
i got some more numbers, with the return line on,
ksb off

idle 125psi
1000rpm 155psi
1500rpm 185psi
2000rpm 200psi
3000rpm 215psi
idle idrive 105psi

ksb on
idle 155 psi
1000rpm 200psi
1500rpm 240psi
2000rpm 255psi
3000rpm 275psi
idle indrive 150psi

i wish i had a set of bigger injectors to see what the presures are, i could...

anybody got any info on that thing i punch down, KTA....

that pump top that i made is so great everything is fully exesiable and i still can have the electric shot off and have a return line,

i havent taken it out on the road to see if the return line will give me my 10 pounds of boost i misteriestly lost :?:

maybe after the 3rd or 4th time of getting sprayed?

lol

i have a set of pods here i am not using and the guy that supposedly bought them has not contacted me in weeks, maybe a month...

That thing you are punching down is the pumps built in bypass requlator. By punching the ball/plug down you increase the spring pressure on the bypass thereby increasing the case pressure. I NEVER said I don't have a return. I have always maintained the stock banjo bolt limited fuel return. I have outlined my dual feed setup before a couple of times, but for what it is worth I never dynoed it after installing it because of headgasket issues. I can pretty much guarantee that what I have is way more basic than anything you cats dream up during the day. 8) LOL
Remember guys my system is biased using a CHECK valve, not a ball valve, read through past posts and its all been outlined before.

kta i know your dual feed is an easy set up, you probaly got 1/2 inch pickup to a filter then the a1000 pump then another filter(maby not) then the regulator back to the tank then the check valve. so when the case presure drops below the 60psithe electric pump is putting out the check valve wil open and uel will go ing, its a very simple way and i dont know why everybody thinks you have some super crazzy second feed,

the ball valve was only there to bleed the are out of the pump, witch i took off and now have the regular return line.
kta if you put the second feed trough the return line ..... oh i see you probaly have the return going the regulator

i like my setup way better, dont have to worry about the return and stuff

I think all of this is great. We need people out there doing the R&D and sharing it for all of us to make big hp we want. I have nothing to add as I probly won't ever set up a case pressure gauge. Maybe if I ever get over 500hp then maybe.

I like how you setup your second feed into the pump. I have an afc pump top/pump that was on an engine that fell off a pallet from about 10 feet and busted off most of the afc housing. I might look into doing what you did to add a second feed.

when you pinched down the bypass and case pressure increased what did it do to performace?

wish you woulda found your lost 10 psi before you started all this but too late now

did the extra case pressure increase boost?

more smoke?

more seat of pants power?

i wonder what it would have done had the truck been making its normal boost

and had some big injectors

various ve pump types

Postby seeker1056 » Fri Dec 14, 2007 10:48 am

what is the difference between the various pumps ie 114, 205 etc?

Different years, applications, ???

Is one better than another to start out with for modifyin? Might a statioonary or agricultural or marine pump be a better start for race only?

Thanx

i dont think it really matters which of the truck pumps you use, with the exception that the latter have a ksb that you give 12v to activate. that is a big plus in my eyes.

i heard that the ag pump had some differences regarding the gov - dont know if that is true or not tho...sorry
