If you plan on running a bypass type regulator, you might consider running a minimum of 6AN for the supply, with a 8AN return. The pressure regulator will work MUCH better (unloading) with a return that's larger than its supply.
I run a 6AN supply from the tank, to the Walbro lift-pump (at the tank), to the Aeromotive bypass regulator, and finally to the IP.
Sitting just beside the power steering pump, is a manifold that has a 4AN line from the IP return, a 4AN line from the injector return, and a 6AN line from the regulator bypass port. The manifold has a 8AN line running back to the fuel cooler, and then back to the tank.
With running a 6AN return (everything tee'd together at the engine) back to the tank, I had issues with the Aeromotive regulator spitting fuel from its case O-ring with getting off the throttle quick after a WOT run.
