Ok so someone on here told me not to pull a cmann250 and just make a build thread already, so here goes.
I'll start off by giving a little background on the truck. My dad bought it from the original owner already turned up and turned, but all stock around summertime 2004 kind of as a spare vehicle I think. anyways it got occasional use mostly hauling water, our toys, and picking up parts for the business after we sold our 04 dodge dually (my dad ran a machine shop for a while. Still has most of the equipment too). Occasionally it was DD'd until we get to September 2010 when I started driving it.
shortly after that I was having a conversation with my dad where he mentioned the p pump in the shop could be fitted to it, and that's where the seed was planted to give it an inline pump. then when I bought the truck off my dad and got my new plate the decision was made to shoot for the number written on the plate (1209)
Things went well the first winter. No accidents and I enjoyed driving it. by the next fall I'd burned most of the tread off the back tires, so I had to get new ones. In January I picked up a new exhaust system (it was the flowmaster 3.5 dp back exhaust and not the one I wanted) and all chrome front bumper. then things went poorly. one night driving home from work after it had been raining, and that rain had frozen, I ended up hitting another vehicle with the side of mine (it wasn't pretty) it turned out there was actually a LOT of bondo on the truck from other accidents.
After that I still drove the truck when needed, and still really liked it, but was rather disappointed in myself. In June 2012 I ordered the first performance mod. A set of DDP stage 3 injectors. they took 3 weeks in which I called twice so ask what was going on. the first time they didn't know, the second time they knew and told me they'd shipped (hooray) we picked them up on a Saturday in July and put them in the next day. once we got her back up and running I took her for a spin, and was like
the whole time.
Now that she was making more power (and I was having more fun) I decided I wanted more air so in September I ordered a 60mm upgrade wheel, and 366 spring. then I had some fun taking a few of the turbos I had laying around the shop apart while I waited. turned out I had a high mileage wh1c rather than an hx35, but I had 2 hx40's so I took the cartridge from the good one and got that machined to fit my new wheel, and put it together with the turbine wheel and housing from the wh1c.
This was a lot of fun, and spooled so much faster than the stocker. a month later I finally got gauges. Then in January I swapped the gauge cluster lights for LEDs so my gauges all matched.
This was also the time I got my steed speed manifold
Finally I had my pyro mounted pre turbo, and discovered I was hitting 1400 degrees. Late January I got my DDP fuel pin, and went from 38psi of boost to 40. Then in February I started assembling parts to meet my lofty 1200 horsepower goal. I started with parts for compounds
Unfortunately I didn’t do enough research before ordering and the hot and cold pipe won’t fit so I am going to actually build all my own stuff. At the end of February I ordered my silver bullet s362 from industrial injection.
I drove it for about a month like that till this happened
Then I decided to switch my wastegate actuator to a spring type
Then I did a bit of overdue afc tuning to get rid of some of the smoke
