I have a HE351 ve in the basemnt I want to try to run on my jalopy. Of course, hey have to make it difficult with the oddball flange. I was wondering if Cummins made a 12v manifold with a T4 flange? I figure I could make the holes in the T4 to match the VGT flange, and be able to skip fabbing an adaptor to fit from the tock T3.
Secondly, does anyone have a definitive answer to the question of exhaust housing rnge? I have read from 3 to 6cm on the small end, and 22 to 35 on he big end. Quite a range. I plan to make a bracket and put a waste gate actuator on it, with an arm attached to the vane control gear thingie. I would like a 10cm or so on the small end, and let it open up to 20cm or so. I know, I could just pick a starting point and fiddle with it all summer long, but I guess I am getting old. I just want to drive the danged thing and go more than 400mi between fill ups. Tinkering and parts swapping has lost its allure.
