I have a twin turboed engine wh1c and hx55 I keep blowing intercooler boots off can't seem to figure it out tryed everything from hair spray to PVC cement
Do you have a bead around the pipes on the intercooler?

Yeah it works, and it is a bandaid. But what's a guy to do with out a turnbuckle setup, and no welder?? Another trick if you have some skater punk kids around is to wrap some grip tape around the end of the pipe. Leave about a 1/4" of exposed pipe from the end, that way there is no chance of that abrasive crap getting into your charge system during reassemble. I've seen both used on 1k hp trucks. I won't say any names as some of you may look down on them. Lol
