The vane pump itself is not the issue. 130ish lpm injectors, pushing 320cc on the bench, and I can maintain 150 plus psi with the ksb on at wot. And that is with a little less than 10 psi of inlet. Again though, I don't understand why "case pressure drop" is of such concern. ksb on a toggle, and adjusting the regulator accordingly and you'll have all the timing advance needed.

The issue with case pressure drop is the regulator. However, inlet pressure also helps.

Adjusting what regulator?

The line that goes from the ksb back up to the top of the pump.... that goes into the regulator.

Well it would sure be informative to see how many CC's your pump and 130ish lpm injectors would flow with 250-300 psi case pressure, whether by dual feed or regulator adjustment.

Exactly the same. Increasing case pressure has zero effect on cc output.

Well that's weird, I figured higher pressure would give a faster fill time for the plunger, getting more fuel in per stroke.

Draining the head, doesn't really seem to be the issue. Because I can run a pump, on the bench, at 2k rpm (4k engine rpm) and take the pressure from 50-60 psi up to 250 psi... and cc output will not change.

It is more the head's design with fuel tapering off, etc...

That and the cam plate. The cam will jump the rollers in the higher rpm, don't really see an easy way around that. Dual springs, etc... would put more force on the cam plate and thus increase wear.
