IIRC, quite a few years ago there was a big bru-ha-ha over air filter. I think because someone collapsed theirs spawning the Big Honking Filter debate. A lot of data was offered up back then. I chose to go with the BHF only because I live in a very dusty environment and not sucking a lot of air at the time. A bigger filter wouldn't clog up as fast. Now that I'm pushing 45psi into the head, I'm glad I did. Never been on a dyno so I don't know what hits the ground. My home-made cooler tubes was the last upgrade. It was more for EGT control than anything else, but I did notice a performance boost.
