Experimental drain line setup: Complete.

Took NPT pipe and turned down a lip in the end:
Image

Knocked off some of the rust off my milling skills and chewed a hole out of the side. I matched it with a burr grinder.
Image

Yes, I'm a terrible welder. Burnt through twice, but after a couple tries and many trips to the grinder it seems solid.
Image

Due to us having a pit, the oil filter won't be too much of a bear to get to.
Image

NPT 1" 90* to a 1" 45*, then to the "T" I made. The 90* is the only part that makes me nervous about this setup. If it doesn't seem to like to drain, I'll pull it and port on it with a burr, then try again. If that doesn't work, I'll have to go back to the drawing board.
Image

I've got heat tubing to go around all these hoses, and plan on running a blanket on the T6 turbo at least, so the silicone hose should be fine.

Drains were a pain in the butt for mine too. What do you have to do before you can start it?

Not a lot actually. To start it that is.

I figure I'll slap some RTV on the drain flanges and fire it up. There's no water in it, but I just wanna see them spin. Is that too much to ask?

[edit] Started it today. It was good to hear the old girl rattling around again. No gaskets anywhere on the exhaust tract and everything was a little loose, but the S400 did start spinning once I gave it a little spin-start. I hope to have the downpipe tacked up and maybe a wastegate dump run into it by tomorrow. Grabbed a couple of pics of my downpipe for Hineman.

It just seems like I never have enough 90*s on this thing, huh?

It drops right back into my previous exhaust setup, so that's easy enough. I'm gonna wrap the 5" section only, I just wish I had the room for a full 5" exhaust...

Ordered a set of blankets for my setup. I got an S400 wrap, custom manifold wrap(due to the Steedspeed externally 'gated manifold), and hotpipe wrap for $100 more than the S400 wrap I was previously looking at. I can't say enough good things about Levi(He's got a good name too) at Turbo Performance Products. He's been emailing me back and forth for about a week now making sure everything is going to fit right before it's sent.

I'm gonna grab some mandrel-bent pipe tonight tor the wastegate dump and start getting it back together. I may just get to take it for a spin before winter rolls around.

Lookin good BTW, I like the downpipe

all u guys doing twins makes me NOT want to do twins... I could have it mocked up weleded and looking good in no-time... but the tuning/ fixing leaks part makes me want to rip out my hair
