Alex, make me a set of twins and I promise you won't have to tune or fix leaks.

I dunno, Alex, if Pete gets anymore power, he might try to hook the midget to something even bigger.

Yeah, I've got a Steedspeed manifold on it. It's been on there for quite a while, since I first started on that air-to-water IC anyways, that's the earliest picture I saw of it in here.

It's a pretty nice piece. He sent mine with 24v flanges on it and since he lived in Canada I never sent it back to get fixed. I just gasket matched them myself.

I love the built in wastegate flange, or at least I did until I started pricing external wastegates. I didn't need it with just my S300, and it never crossed my mind to turn out a plug on the lathe, so I dropped like another $250 or so on that 'gate. Now that I'm getting twins going, I finally have a use for it. 8)

Is it worth almost double what the normal 3-piece ones are? I don't think so, unless you're trying to get every edge you can. I grabbed mine while he had them listed for $500, and they were right back up the next day.

In terms of spooling faster, it sure didn't hurt my truck any. I didn't get any real SOTP that I noticed, but it dropped my turbo's whistle-point down by about 10mph. It sounds sooooooo good cruising around about 35 in 4th now.

Alrighty, here's more of the same for you guys.

My blankets came in and I had to try them out. I've just got to add some hardline to my secondary drain, weld the flange on the DP, and get that wastegate dump tube situated. Well, all that and reassemble the truck I apparently completely disassembled at some point during this.

Steedspeed with a fresh coat of VHT paint over it's ceramic coating:

Blanket over that combo, just in case some heat does think it can get away:

Back together again:

Hotpipe blanket fitted(it all came with stainless ties, I was just testing):

Hotpipe and S400 blanket fitted:

S300 blanket added as well:

A couple of everything fitted and lined up(the air filter steel pipe is a little long, but I'm not cutting it until the fender is back on):

Worst case scenario, my twins won't get cold in sitting in the yard this winter. 8)

Even I can see the light at this point.

Where did you get the blankets from?

Turbo Performance Products

He'll make you just about anything you need, just throw him an email. I bought my S300 blanket from him on Ebay, and we got to talking on there about my setup. He ended up making my hotpipe, manifold, and S400 blanket for $100 more than just the S400 blanket I was looking at elsewhere.

If I may suggest, . .. I think you need to adjust the charge-air pipes going to, and from the after-cooler to accommodate the engine torque twisting the engine. My concern is you may have issues with boots being pulled off the pipes . . . at best. The worst case may be breaking the nipples from the cooler.

I've never really thought about that before.

I was running them that way for a month or so and haven't noticed any stress on anything, even while revving the engine around with the hood up. I do have polyurethane engine and transmission mounts, so that may have something to do with the minimal torquing I see.

My truck flops around like a 24v truck when I pipe around on the engine. It is a little rattly in the cab at times though.
