I don't think that anybody makes off-the-shelf EDMs for us. Not like how you can get a second gen and have the full range of EDM's from Don M, Diesel Dynamics and whoever else...

Lot's of guys will custom make them, though.

Call www.scheiddiesel.com or Buddha Power - KTA will have to give that number out, as I can't find it. Both will build you a very heathly set of EDM's.

New era diesel 740-819-0457
5x12's are about $350
I'm not sure what he get's for is 435's 5x14's Hopefully Dale will chime in on that. You can get anything you want for around $700 all have a stock pop pressure and edm'd tip.

will those 5x12 edm tipped injectors flow well enough to inject enough extra fuel for a coal train of black smoke... even though its lost energy you have to admit its sexy... i wanna be runnin roughly 300 horsepower and i want to be able to flow a good stream of black smoke through my soon to come 5" stacks... ive seen rigs with pod injectors that run 400 horsepower so they can be to bad

Sorta reminds of the fahrt cans on ricers, or the lowriders that used to like to bounce the front end up and down. To each his own I guess, but the clouds of smoke helps give diesels a bad reputation more than anything else.

Just because you have aftermarket injectors doesn't mean you smoke.

You can tune a stock truck to blot out the sun if you wanted to.

If the black smoke gives us a bad reputation, beating the occasional muscle car counteracts that a little bit, right?

I am still in flux right now as to where I am going next or if at all. Not knowing all the variations and flavors of injectors by name I would like to know how these injectors compare to POD's. The reason being, I have no other base for comparison. (thats all I've had) I still dont think I need to go to the 14mm H&R to be where I want to be.
I've called Schieds for injector prices and they were to high for me. However I did buy a rebuild pump from them because their price was best, so go figure.
So how do 5X12s compare, or 5X14s. Also I undertand the #X# represent Number of holes by size. What are POD's numberwise? But what do the 370, 435 numbers mean?

cheers to that begle 1... but but i have to say im a high school student in a little 2a school in texas so being able to dump carbon out ur tail pipe is a plus... i have my pump turned almost all the way up so i can black smoke descent and have beat a duramax with it in the dirt , (mainly because he spun and lost a bunch of traction) but im on my way i just want to be able to have the fastest diesel in the school lot, maybe even the fastest vehicle if i can afford it , but i mean theres only one other first gen in the lot so i got everyone beat in coolest truck haha[/quote]

Errr, um, no. Fart cans and bouncing are useless. At least that smoke means you've got some fuel flowing(unless your turbo ain't working) I can literally smoke a lot of the ricers with my truck, and stomping it in 4th or 5th at lower speeds really does get those a hole tailgaters off my bumper in a hurry. I am curious as to how the 5x12 and 5x14 edm's stack up against pod's though. I know my pod's are a very primitive injector, and I'm wasting a good bit of fuel. Do the edm's hit the bowl and burn better? I always thought they were a grand plus, but after seeing some of the prices here, might have to get em some.
