Don't encourage him, Alex. For all our sakes. :P

Dunno what else is going to happen to the Dodge, because I just bought a Ramcharger to swap the whole mess into. 8). It's getting the entire drivetrain from my truck, 'Rag and all. It's got some cancer, not as much as most others but still some, so all funds will be diverted into bodywork.

I'm finally getting started on what I want.

I've wanted a RC for years, there's just none around here that are worth saving. They've either all been mudded to death or they're "pristine" (fresh paint covering up who knows what) and they want like $6-8k for them.

This one looks to need most of the outside bottom replaced, fenders, rockers, and whatnot, but the floor and doors are solid and the interior is salvageable. I've got the fenders already, so that really just leaves rockers and quarters. I've been so sick of the single cab I could puke. It's kind of sad how it's almost impossible to DD a single cab truck these days. I always find myself needing more space in the interior of my truck.

More room to throw crap into. I had ext cabs. I love my reg cab. Sucks sometimes but make me keep a clean truck.

That said, I want a 4dr 1st Gen...

My main complaint is that whenever me and the buddies go somewhere, we always have to take their vehicle because it's a pita to get more than 2 people in mine. I like driving my truck, and I hate riding in their boring-ass stuff.

Admittedly, it's a good way to save on fuel, but if I have to ride in another Focus or F150, I'm gonna puke.

I'll keep this thread about the Dodge, until I actually get the engine swapped. Then this thread will officially follow the engine over tho the RC. However, just this once, here's the pics of it.

It's an 85, which is older than I'd hoped, but the harness bulkhead and stuff was still in the same spot so the wiring should still be halfway decent.

Bench seat = awesome, I was thrilled it didn't have that center console thing. :D

I'll probably be swapping the whole dash and column from my truck depending on what that involves.

And the rust. The floors are solid, but the rear hatch has a crack in the top so I'll have to track down another one.

I'm pretty pleased, like I said my options were to either buy one that may have been nice for ~$6k, or put ~$4k into bodywork on this one know know it's gonna be good. I'm still deciding on how I'll be rustproofing it, but whatever way I choose I know I'll be going completely overkill on it. 8)

You probably won't want to hear that I'm ditching all the trim and painting the whole thing white.

I like the color as well, but I hate trim and my whole family has driven white vehicles for the last 10 years. It just feels wrong to be in anything else. Hell, I had a Toyota that was purple and I thought I was going to be kicked out of the driveway.

The Ramcharger is sweet, but you should buy another Cummins to drop in it and leave your truck in one piece. Oh, and don't get rid of your twins. But if you need more room to haul your boyfriends around, do what ya gotta do. :P
