4 Gauge Pod by soot4brains

Postby ihredneck » Thu Oct 04, 2012 9:30 am

I was wondering if soot4brains ever got a shop and is now making the pillar pods again?
I was directed this way by many from cumminsforum

Well rats! I guess I could always make my own...

So has anyone stumbled across any ambitious person who has made 3 &/or 4 pillar pods?

That seems to be something that a person could do fairly well with for 1st gens.
Those and those "Shelf-It" deals and Standard cab visors.

Yes it is, Pete.
A very neat item, too bad they were fairly short-lived for the 1st gens and I have only ever seen 1 or 2 in a 2nd gen.

I've had 2 or 3 of them, but the guys around here seem desperate for them and they disappear.

Jeff wasn't that desperate, I brought that one back from Iowa in June and it sat at Jeremys until October.

But that's JEFF, he seldom seems "desperate".
Anyway, I looked and JCWhitney's sells new Shelf-Its for the 2nd and 3rd gens.
For some odd reason I thought they weren't available anymore for 2nd gen and it appears they actually fit 1994 through 2010.

I've been thinking on building one for my truck since I'm handy in the carpentry skill department,I'm 5'9 so ive no problem seeing around them. It would be nice if I had some place else to file crap besides the seemingly bottomless pit that is the center console  I lose all kinds of crap in there

It's hard being "average sized", that's for sure.
As far as jeans go, there's stiff competition for those in the "Average Height/Extra Round" category.

You just need to go to "Georges Short and Fat". He has everything for the under height/over round fella. ;)
