Shocks on, you may be right about that 4x4-ing, Rumble. The rear's damn flexy with the right length shocks on it.

Oh, and Hiney, I'm bored at work everyday. However, I get off at 4:30 so this was off the clock. :P

Front Shocks

RearShocks

These front springs are definitely not getting my seal of approval, the front of the truck is extremely over-sprung. It's literally like the front and rear rides have been reversed, these springs are even able to bounce through the new shocks when they are forced to move. I will say that the truck is much quieter and smoother over flat ground, probably the new spring-eye bushings, but any real bump gives a good jolt and starts bouncing. Even with new shocks it still usually gets at least two bounces in. :?

Welp, fkcu those front springs. I just ordered a set of Firestone 268C airbags that are going on this thing. Probably gonna re-bush my stock springs with poly and use the main and the longest to locate the axle, then jam the bag in there. The bags run 2.8" compressed and 8" extended, 2500lb capacity. The front of my truck weighs 3500 lbs and 5850 total without me in it.

I stopped and talked to a local guy that pulls a 1stgen and he's got it all sorted but the front suspension. His leaves are so shot that his front end picks up right as he leaves the line then slams down really hard because his springs give no support. He was drooling over those parabolic ones and I think they may be just the thing he needs.

Dunno, I forget how much stuff costs as soon as I close Paypal.

I've always considered it an investment TBH, the engine at least, maybe not the rest of the truck. There isn't a whole lot of vehicles you couldn't swap a mechanical Cummins into, and if mine crapped the bed it would all bolt onto another one, so i's never botheredmeto put money into it.

Ran over to Carquest today and grabbed a bunch of circuit breakers to stick in the fuse box, I'll never have to fix a wiring problem again.

I was snooping through the Cole Hersee website and found this little guy, priced it at Carquest and it's $17. Probably be pretty handy for anyone wanting to delete their fusible link setup. our local Carquet can cross Cole Hersee numbers so I assume they all can.

Didn't get any help on my math over on CompD, so I just went for it. Turned out good, and it's down to a slim and trim 6lbs according to my bathroom scale. 8)

I may actually drill some smaller holes in the gaps between these big holes to trim it up even more, I kinda like working out the math on these things
