Well, it's now a proven fact that Hineman doesn't read entire posts.

I thought you meant you didn't get to drive it around yet...like it broke while it was idling in the shop.

Nope, it broke when I was pulling it back with a ratchet. I'll have a report tomorrow, though I've still got a couple small boost leaks. I've got the major ones plugged up now though. 8)

On the plus side, I don't need an intake tester anymore.

Yeah there isn't much to it. The big alternator mount up front handles almost all the weight and torque, I just use the rear mount for basic support and to cut own on a little vibration.

This is pretty much it, I've welded it along it's length but it's otherwise what you see here. It bolts to the motor mount down where the heat exchanger used to be for the auto.

Air intake setup and waiting for my other 90* and another piece of 4" exhaust to finish my intake. It's not as tight as it looks there, it's not bolted flat to the blower and actually hanging towards the fender yet it's still clearing the inner fender.

Oh, and I also got this little video.

Levi threw his truck back together tonight and ran over to my house for its first shakedown run. 8)

It sounds no where near as annoying in the cab as it does on the videos.

He doesn't have the actuator rigged up on the bypass valve yet so its basically instant 18 psi and then its kinda like you stuck a plastic bag over the airfilter. If he can get the supercharger out of the way at the right time, the hx52 might kick the old Dodge in the butt after that.

Now if I could only get him to add some more fuel...

It's da troof, she's a runner again! It's hella good as a DD, I can't believe it. It just begs to be lugged, a 30-45 mph pull in 4th is quick and smokeless, before I would have had to drop to third and still feather it to keep smoke down.

His paper bag analogy is really good, that's exactly what it's like. A nice pull right up to 18 psi and the truck just stops pulling. I'll get that settled, but as if right now it's a perfectly capable DD. I likey.

First little blast down the road we passed a state highway patrol....

Good thing we were just admiring the whine of the supercharger and hadn't really got on it yet.

The road we were running down is one of the best straight stretches around for a good WOT run, but you never know when you're going to run into a statey . :notfair:

that's why you run down the road faster so the statey pulls you over first or is your truck slower now..

It's definitely slower, the top end is just non-existant. Bottom end is great, it moves around like my little, old Toyota Tacoma used to, there's just no surge of power from the turbo like their used to be.

I'll get to work on that.
