Yep. I used one with a clear lid so I could see if it got crap in there.

Your truck would have to actually move before you'd have to worry about that. :P

So apparently I haven't popped my head in this section for awhile for some reason lol.... About the turbos, I bought a used 351cw that needed bushings. I was told the wheels made slight contact lol it was bad contact.

In my search for a shaft and comp wheel I found out that an hy35\he341\he351cw is the same shaft. I also found where someone took an hxshaft and had the 351 bored out to the hx turbine wheel. I have a couple hx shafts so all I would need is the comp wheel. And I knew Taco is pretty handy with machining so I figured I could trust him as much as a machine shop. I really don't have any info as to if it worked, how well it worked, or if there was any egt differences. If this goes as planned, I'm planning on using the 351\35 hybrid in my tripples...

Well, you've seen the measurements that I took off the wheels and housings, if you want me to go ahead and match the 351 turbine outlet to the HX35 housing just give me the word.

Also, I'll be cleaning and painting all my blower stuff soon, do you want me to blast and throw a coat of paint on that housing? I use 2000* flat black paint that holds up really well on my manifolds and hot pipes. Since I'm already doing everything else it'll only take a couple minutes to throw yours in as well.

Alrighty, did some messing around today. Hacked and welded in my bypass pipe and rerouted my normal inlet to accommodate it.

I also found this while I was rolling around under the truck, measuring around for a rear traction bar. I've cussed that damn fuel tank for years for not letting my oil leaks get to that part of the frame. Looks like trouble may be brewin'. :(

My bed and cab have had plenty of contact from my recent trail excursions, maybe if I'm lucky it'll just settle ever-so-gently into the pockets it made for itself and I won't even notice.

Orrrrrr maybe I'll find out how rusty my bed is when it's all that's holding my frame together.

I guess I'll pull those Jungle shackle and springs off the RC frame and put them on the Dodge. I'll have to drop the tank regardless, so I'll try to patch the frame some. That'll also move the spring mount away from that spot, so hopefully it'll take some of the stress off of it. Another bonus is it'll let me try out the Chevy leaves, and possibly ditch the rear blocks.

Also, I noticed my water pump was seeping from the weep hole, so I decided it was time to bag my front suspension. In going for a linked, radius arm setup. Going with adjustable upper and lower links, with poly bushings at all joints. ~48" lower links, 2" .250 wall square tubing, haven't decided on the upper materials yet. I want them adjustable so I'll be able to match them to whatever ride height I find the best.

I figure I'll just cobble up a bag mount off the current spring mounts, the only major interference I see is the brake lines and shocks. I've got a plan for the shocks, still mulling over the brake lines. Also need to make a track bar, but I'll figure it out once I get my ride height and caster set up.

Looks like I'll have to buy tires and gas for the Ranger. :(
