As you should all know, NO project is ever done...
To name a few things I still need to address:
front bucket seats
build a high pinion Dana 60
Line-X the inside of the bed
Finish inner fenders
However, heres a few things that have been done:
This winter I went through 3 front driveshafts due to my front driveshaft angle, tire size and HP.... so, it was time to address the problem. The current case with a boxed frame had no room for exhaust and I through a High Pinion front Dana 60 would be the "cat's meow". So the bank account (again) let in and I ended up buying all the parts to make my NP205 ford case a Dodge Diesel case. 29 spline input and coupler were bought as well as a chunk of 6061 billet T6 aluminum for my Lathe buddy. I just got it installed last week and the Diamond eye exhaust is ready for installation. The new case locates the driveshaft 1.5" lower towards the ground and the high pinion axle welds will be cut and pinion angle corrected for the lift. I also bought a triple stick stainless shifter for the transfercase. It is twin sticked and the third lever is for a parking brake which I still have to fab up.
I also changed up my rear shock setup going from staggered back to triangular. Also the shocks are mounted on top of the axle to stay out of harm's way.
Other little things are a Tuff Wheel steering wheel, vintage air HVAC installed and I got some samples for the leather interior. I want to do the top left as perforated and with black leather as well.
Blew the trans 3rd gear out so I bought another NV4500 out of a Chevy gasser and converted it to a diesel trans. This time, NO IMPORTED GEARS! Next time it breaks, I'll cyro everything or go 48RE LOL. Got a good deal on a South Bend DD too because my 500hp single was roasted!
Also, tappet cover leaked again so I bought the well priced cover from TREX-TECH. It is truely an awesome piece!
I also parted out an entire truck to get this 88k mile P7100 215hp pump. I put some shimmed 4k springs in it, modified the AFC and bench tuned it, ground my own plate and tweaked the progressive linkage... Picked up an easy 50hp by the seat of my pants
Trying to make this truck something of a finished product. By the end of the year you will see me build my own front axle, bedline it hopefully, finish those inner fenders, do some more cosmetic work, install the exhaust and hopefully finish the interior!
