One of the guys last year blew a high pressure fitting and raced his F550.

I'll start looking into rebuilding the 727 on the cheap. I've always wanted to get into one of the autos, not much of a better one to cut my teeth on.

It honestly wasn't in too bad of a shape, but it did have over 200k miles on it.

I'm planning on getting my hands on a 48re for brownie (built and running a full manual vb since I don't like having something do my shifting all that much)

I've had dman1198 for a long time. Though at one point I used 1098 and might've used 749 as the number. Yt and eBay already had dman1198 taken so I added an n. Really the name just takes the first letter of my first name and the first three (or four) letters of my last name. The number is taken from Ducati motorcycle engine designations

As far as 1/4 miles times vs trap speed times vs dyno

Dyno shows the curve as well as the peak hp/tq

1/4 and trap should be the same...however they are usually not. But keep in mind that these both show the average hp. And don't show the curve and/or the peak.

Trans that I put in my truck was a fresh rebuild from tci. They call it there tow master has a lower stall converter shifts pretty firm. But I plan on breaking it. So when I do I'm gonna try to build it right my self.

Hiney, the dummy just bought the book!

Levi, you need to learn to shift, that's all there is to it. I can shift the ol' Getrag fast enough to spin into 3rd gear and chirp them into 4th. I did cheat though, I got a shifter from a 2nd gen NV4500, it's about 3 inches shorter than a stocker. I had one from a Dakota, but that's a LOT shorter and you have to lean over to hit 5th. Not so much fun.

Oh, I shift the hell out of my poor 'rag, but you've got to remember I'm dealing with 3.07 rears. I can get one hell of a chirp in 3rd but nothing in 4th. Then again, by 4th gear I'm doing over 60mph.

I'm more interested in the boosted launch than anything, I know my truck launched way faster and smoother with the auto.

Some pics thus far from my hydroboost install, here's some size comparisons.

Here's the mounting hole difference.

And the awesome view from under the dash, I can't wait to tighten those one hex at a time.
Image

A shot of how far back the pedal would be if you just stuck it on and drilled out the hole. It shoves the switch clear out to the end of the threads.
Image

And an overall shot of the clearances underhood. It clears all my cobbled crap so far.
