I was with Ellis on not getting that one. I get it now that was explained, but man. I'm looking to spend like $200 tops on building a bumper for my 4th gen so. . . . .

And that's where that train left the station

Brownie: 80 dodge heavy half. Ghost cummins under the hood, and some sinister plans
The Roo Hunter: 93 w250, lifted, 2 whistle machines, and a bunch of other go fast goodies, uhh..... not there yet
Jaeger: 12 ram 3500. Lifted, exhausted, and fed an excessive quantity of air
The Huntress: 02 Jetta TDI. No muffler, egr, horsepower

It's just a diesel ricer thing, I don't really get it either. I just saw the pallet sitting out behind the shop when I was grabbing some conveyor belt and figured I'd post a pic. Sorry to shatter your innocent, diesel minds, fellows. :mrgreen:

Tom, it sounds to me like it is sucking air back in. Check the fuel heater on the strainer next to the lift pump, and check the lines where they come out of the tank. They are metal there and prone to rusting. The heater on mine melted just enough where the terminals are molded into the plastic that it let air in. It started out with a little rough starting, and got so bad if I shut it off for 15 minutes when I restarted it skipped and smoked like a pig. If it sat over night it wouldn't run with out bleeding the injectors.

92 D350 Cab and Chassis. Auto stock, wiring gremlins. 330k miles
92 W250 Ext cab rotted completely out. Auto, pump maxed, 215 ppump nozzles, Denny T2 pin.
85 D350 single wheel, converted to cummins, getrag, turned up 2 turns and afc screw flush.
