Me too. Not looking forward to just sitting on my duff for a week. The GPS units that are getting installed are small, like flip phone small, and are buried in the dash. Hey, fine by me, I'll set the cruise on my service truck a few mph under the limit and be "extra" safe while out and about ;)

GPS seems like something my boss would put on our trucks, but he goes out almost as much as anyone so it'd end up as a neglected system. There's also the fact that we are pretty good guys who do our job where we have to and don't make much if a fuss about it

hell no, i've learned over the years that family will F you over alot quicker than a friend will. i let my buddy borrow it while his get body work done. we went down to get mine yesterday and no grid heaters + -6 temps + alot of timing + big injectors = no damn start. i think they are 5x.016's or mayby 5x.017's. DDP didnt give me an exact hole size, just how many LPM they flowed, but i dont remember what that was.

My cold weather starting victory came at a price yesterday. I torched my fuse links for the grid heaters.

Now I know what that funny smell was that I'd been smelling on start up. Still started this morning without grids.

That's why I had the smilie tacked on the end there.
I may take you up on your offer, I'll get with you before the dyno day.

Caleb, just throw a jumper cable from the battery to the grid before you start it. Problem solved! ;)

X3 I saw it was Puckett's birthday yesterday on CompD.

I ran my final numbers on the truck for 2013. I drove 14,500 miles, burned 855 gallons of diesel, got an average of 17.0 mpg with a high of 19.9, and paid an average of $3.95 with a low of $3.78 which means I spent just under $3400 of fuel this year.

I predict fewer miles in 2014, better fuel economy, the same price on diesel, and subsequently a smaller fuel bill.

Anyone else keep records like this?

Happy birthday fellas. Caleb I did that one year and cried because I spent almost 10k in fuel. They are saying we may get some real snow next week.

I've got a buddy/equantence that is a drinker to say the least.

He kept track of "how long it took (in hours) to paint his truck"........... he found it was easier to count the beers. Turned out to be 30 cases of Keystone.... ya know the 30 pack......that's a lot of fricken beer.

The guy whose house butts up to a field my boss farms has his 2 car garage wall papered with PBR boxes.

I don't think that's anything to brag about. The PBR I mean.
