True. Generally a good hp:torque ratio is 1:2, but you're nearly at 1:3

Caleb. I'll tell you right now tuning a cr is not that easy. It takes hours to go over the maps, and unless you can data log everything is a shot in the dark. I had to redo everything I'd already done, and it took about 3 hours, And unless you use a manual vb trans tuning is an almost incomprehensible mess. You'd be far better off with a p pump 6.7 with compounds, full manual 48, then all the other things you said

I'm not implying that I know what makes a CR tick, but some folks named Fleece do. A stand alone ECU would help, and I am sure PCS has the 48RE figured out if I wanted it to shift itself.

I love mechanical diesels, but in a theoretical DPC build, a CR is the way to go because of the variation available. Try to vary duration, pulse width, and timing with a P7100.

Where's the fun in getting someone else to tune your stuff. That's like trying to have a kid and getting someone else to do the knocking up part

And with a p pump it's just slide the plate forward, and turn the star wheel to where it runs best. Timing is set when you put the engine together. Even someone who blackout drunk could manage that. With a cr doing it drunk would be a bad idea

Well Dman if you think that's all there is to making power with a ppump, I don't think you'll get very close to your 1200 HP goal. That's like saying all you have to do to make power with a ve is crank the power screw and mess with the smoke screw, not even close.

Awh c'mon man, don't be a kill joy. Just do all that and rack the barrels. What else is there? It's a mechanical pump. It has to be simple.

I don't know what your talkin about man. Caleb was talking about how you can adjust duration, pulse width, and timing on a cr. I was talking about how you do it with a p pump. Hard parts weren't even in contention
