Says it's an HX40, but it sure looks like an HX35 exhaust housing. Can anyone make sense of this? The price has me intrigued.

Looks like a standard HX40W to me.

it would push right through the clutch in 5th...hard to believe it gave it that much more.

It wouldn't surprise me if it had a stock clutch in it, poor old thing was just about as worn out as my 91 was when I bought it back :|

Housing looks bigger, but it kind of seems like it has a 3" flange rather than a 4". I saw one of those the other day at sait.

That's what threw me. I was expecting a 4" full Marmon flange.

Yeah. The one I saw had the big exhaust flange, and it leaves almost no room for more metal on the flange plate

The guy says it's 4" out. I want a spare HX35, not some oddball HX40.

Well I guess we are back to cold crappy temps for a while. Its snowing right now but doesn't look like it will amount to anything.

Sorry, Ellis, I didn't stop for pics. You'll just have to judge by the tank straps I blasted and painted, and the filler neck I hogged out for a diesel pump. 8)

Nah, I wanted to get these done before I put the drivetrain in it. I was going to try new brake lines too, but as I was running the fuel lines I realized that there's no giant fuel tank running along the entire framerail so I can access their whole length with everything in place.

I'll try to get it in this week. I woulda had it in this weekend but I'm coming down with something. I just took a chug of DayQuil and worked until it started coming back, then headed home and went to sleep.

Not very easy to get stuff done with that schedule.

Yeah the weather definitely sucks. It's now close to -20c here, and I don't know if it supposed to warm up

Was close to 50 here today, going back to lake effect snow tonight.
Hard to tell, monsoon in Mississippi, tornados in Tennessee, or snow In Syracuse?
I guess it's not too bad living here.
