That's just the problem, the word on the street from the locals "Those 6 speed transmissions cost $12k from Dodge".

The folks that start the rumor mill in the NW about what Cummins/Dodge parts cost and should cost.... yea, I want to hit them in the face with a shovel.

No story to tell, Ellis, it pretty much fell into place. All mounts are lining up and everything.

I did forget to pop that CAD cover off on the front axle and perma-lock it. Now I gotta do it with the engine in the way. I'm also goin to wafer wheel that casting off the pumpkin that interferes with the oil pan. Honestly, I'm pretty sure the swaybar would bolt right back on and everything. None of the horror stories have come true.............yet. :?

Shit, it's even sitting higher on the 1/2ton springs than my old dodge did before.

Springs take a while to settle. My front dropped about 4" after a week's worth of driving.

I'm no expert, but I'd say it could do with some more horsepower

I get frustrated.... No joke.. I could pull my worn out, needs rebuilt (ok, could use it) engine out right now and sell it for probably $2500.00 Let's be honest... it's worth $800. Without the goodies of course.

Wow, just wow. I know where to go if I want to sell something for more than it's worth now. I have no idea what mine would go for, but with the pump in an unknown condition it way not be worth much (not that I'd want to sell it really)

Does that price include everything to swap one into a 1stgen? Seems like for another $1000, you could get a new Gear Vendors. I have no experience with either, just the want of a 6 spd in my W350.

I don't think I'll be sled pulling the crew lol...I just want a good daily driver 6spd that will pull any load I want and get good mileage. Maybe I should leave it 2wd with a g56.

The G56 gives you options on that also. A 4x4 and 2Wd G56 is the same trans. The only difference is a drive flange that bolts onto the output shaft. All other stick shift trans used by Dodge do not have that configuration.

I remember you saying that in the transmission section...maybe that should be the route to take...I can get it all set up and still drive the truck until I'm ready to drop the front axle and stuff in.....

Want to sell mine for me??? sell mine for 2500 you can keep 500 lol. actually for that price I'd sell two and go buy 3 here.....lol then let you sell the third....Just think you could make 1500 bucks.........That came out more confusing when I typed it than in my head..... :?

Not usually, 3rd genners pull them in favor of NV5600's. You'd still need pedals, hydros, clutch, etc. to complete a swap.
