It will be louder in the cab if you cut it down.

I have a muffler on it, and the 5" pipe is slid over a 4" pipe that's 2.5ish ft tall. and the 5" is 4ft tall to the very top.
I just don't like how it looks sticking over the cab that much. But it is quiet, only noise in the cab is the engine, there isn't any drone at all, so I might just leave it.

That's a very good point Caleb. I don't even really like having soot on my bumper from those angled back exhausts.

On an entirely seperate note I just found out one of our bone stock 6.7 powerstroke f-550's blew an engine recently. It has 100,xxx kms and a lot of hours, but still. Also our ram 5500 keeps having its def freeze and cause the truck to say it'll shut off and not start in x amount of kilometres. And because of my accidents insurance is too much for me to be covered under my works policy, so I can't drive the service trucks anymore.

I'm also having a possible problem with my 4th gen. It keeps throwing a code that says air leak between MAF and throttle body. This may be the time to do a 1st gen swap with an s467 and a grid heater delete with intake horn (pretty much replace all the stock boots and piping) I was even thinking of fabricating my own horn that uses 5.9 grid heaters mounted between the horn and ic pipe

I HATE soot on any piece of sheet metal! My boss has a white 24v and the exhaust sits too close to the bed. It looks tacky as hell. That's why my exhaust angles down.

That's why I bought an exhaust tip for mine. It took care of most of it, but if there's a side wind you end up with some getting on there. The Roo Hunter had that happen once too with a strong side wind

I'm not quite sure. It was down on power, and threw a code that said replace engine

Heh, a "replace engine" code. That's a new one.

I stumbled upon a pretty handy site today, you enter the year and model of your vehicle and it'll tell you what part# you have for your ujoints and carrier bearings.
