Not bad, I paid $145 for mine with a 2 year free replacement.
Granted, I wasn't looking to install dual batteries either.

That's about par, the battery in the 82 cost me 130 from O'Reilly.

I couldn't find one from them even up to 1000cca.

The local Carquest has group 31's in stock, 1150cca, with either lead top posts, or the stud, $120. Napa has a 31, in there industrial/commercial line of batteries, something like 1200-1250cca, but last I checked it was $160

They may not have them at that cca now,but alittle over a year ago when I bought mine they did.

I actually have 3 right now, one in the dodge, the 82 and my tractor. All three have 1150 or 25 cca.

I'll see if I can't snap a decent pic of it in a few, that way the part number will be up here.

Ok, will be good to know in the future. I got mine from NAPA for $145, but I had a part to return that covered most that cost.

I'll give it that, Dads old truck has one, my dually had one too, just hard to swing that much, when I get a discount at Carquest.
The Napa here had horrible customer service, and won't deal for nothing

Can't blame you there. The NAPA I deal with is a bunch of retired hot rodders and machinists. They'll do head work and all. If they can't find in the computer, they'll pull a book.

I wish they were all like that.

We had one,the owner is a jackhole, and wasn't able to cut it here with their prices. So the same giy switched to federated auto parts franchise, and I guess he still cant cut it......cause he's a jackhole

I only ever dealt with them on semi parts, mostly because they don't/didn't deliver

Our Napa got his franchise pulled, he's an Auto Parts Plus now. Same deal, only his whole family worked there, all jackholes.
Haven't done much with new Napa, but there more "if the comp don't list it, can't help ya" kinda place, that's why I stick with my Carquest, like cmann250, there willing to look in a book, resolve issues, and generally help with whatever crazy thing your building

I won't buy anymore batteries from Carquest. They gas all the time and the battery is all acid on top and the terminals are always corroded. About a week after I bought the set for my 2nd gen I was on TDR and there was a big thread on batteries, quite a few guys said the same thing about their Carquest batteries. I wish I had looked there before I bought them. And then 1 was a month out of warranty when it puked and the prorate was 1/2 the cost of a new one. Now I have new set of Dekas in it and it starts great and no mess. 8)
