Reminds me of the time I was spot spraying with an H and it died on me 2 miles from the farm. The cables were too corroded to crank the starter, so I engaged the belt pulley, put the transmission in neutral, turned on the ignition, and rolled it over. I tried to repeat my results for a half hour at the farm and I never could

So I got my delivery valve holder socket today, and ordered a diesel timing light adapter.

I really despise the IRS and the whole tax thing in general. I know its a part of life here in the U.S., it's hard for someone to work hard, make decent money and provide for my family, just so I can get thrown into another tax bracket. It seems like you get more, if you do less??? Hmm. I guess I will make the best of the deal, I am going to bust my ass and make as much as I can this year so that I come in just shy of the max of the bracket I am in. Best to be at the top of the bracket and not at the bottom.

So much for trying to live the "American Dream" :?

If I'm not mistaken, this is the first year you've been completely out of the Service, right? Did they drop the hammer on you since none of your pay was military pay?

I am completely done with working for the government both civilian and military. The only time military pay is not taxed as heavy is when you are in a combat zone, more or less tax free. Any other time the stick it to you just the same as any other American. The wife and I just "made too much"...if that sounds right.

Oh, I hear you friend. The power utility that I work for is next to the slum of the greater Quad City area...I see the fruits of "no labor" every day as they walk past our shop. I hope I pass the P.O.S.S. test and get down to the generating station...it's out in the boonies, next to the Mississippi River, away from just about everything ;)
