I have a 2012, and I still wouldn't sell my 1st gen. Sure it's more civilized, but it's so heavy. I'm in the neighbourhood of 450whp right now, and even though it's noticeably quicker it's more of a freight train pull rather than how 1st gens pull

I like the 24 valve second gens. I just don't care for the interiors tendency to fall apart. Of course 500$ will buy new stuff from dodge to fix it back up to like new

I pulled my trailer to Connecticut to get my 93, I had a diablo power puck, a triple disc billet converter, intake and exhaust, and that truck pulled like a tractor,
I had no trouble at all pulling my truck through the mountains, it was a nice truck and I would have kept it along with the 93 if I could have.

Well, the day has come. Time to take the drive to the power plant to take the P.O.S.S. test (plant operator selection system). Been studying off and on for the last two weeks...we'll see how it pays off. I am feeling pretty confident that I'll pass the test and get the job, as being an Assistant Unit Operator will be a lot easier on my hands than being a mechanic ;)

I hauled hay yesterday with dad's Ford. I'm guessing 15k lbs of hay and trailer. The power is down, along with fuel economy. It's also smoking more than it should. New injector time.

For all of you Ford-bashers, I definitely missed my VE's torque curve while towing that load

Check the up pipes Caleb. It will cause the same issues if one is leaking. They are known to leak

There isn't soot on the firewall. IIRC, it's SD up-pipes that leak, not OBS up-pipes.

By any rate, the injectors have 270k on them when most people are getting around 200k out of them so it can't hurt to replace them. They've served their time well

Its the obs that leak. The SD trucks have bellowed up pipes that are less prone to leaking. Sometimes they still leak though
