Spent a little time on The Pile today. Trying out a wiring system I made up for the voltage regulator, so no more pulsing lights. I'll have a full blown write up if it works tonight. Swapped instrument clusters again, the repaired odometer still won't work. Also worked on finishing up the auto to manual conversion wiring part. I'll have a write up on that too. Messed with the pump too, trying to figure out the idle issues. Finally got a goats head on the old turd.

I bottomed out my fuel screw last night, which meant I had to back down the idle, which meant I had to lengthen the throttle linkage to hit the stop, which meant I was not in a good mood when I got done. On the other hand, it runs really, really good now. I must have had the screw backed out farther than I thought. ;)

The more I turn the screw in, the worse the governor works. As in when letting off the throttle and its returning to idle RPM, the RPM's continue to go very low, almost killing it, then snaps back to proper idle RPM. Not sure what the heck is the issue, I just want to go fast

My truck would do that after I put the screw all the way in to just before runaway, when I would snap the throttle it would give a little extra
snap on it's own, then I turned it out about a half turn and it stopped doing that.

Yep... the governor is over correcting itself. Just turn it up til it comes down really slow : )

So I really wanted a new Dart when they came out but held off. Now Dodge has announced they are releasing an SRT version in 2016 that will be AWD and turbocharged. It will possibly compete with the new WRX while hopefully being quite a bit cheaper. I'll definitely be test driving that when it comes to the dealers.

If it would hang with an sti then that would be cool.

I was thinking of getting a dart for a work car but wished they had an srt. Hope it's fast. By 2016 i'll hopefully be better off financially anyways.

Stock vs stock, my srt would hang with an sti. When it was new anyway. Idk anything about the new ones tho. I assume theyre making more power than they were 8-10 years ago. With my fwd, i need a roll race to be fair. Subie owners get butthurt about losing to a neon. Mustang and camaro guys are even worse!

When I ride in one,I feel as if I just crawled in my very own coffin.

I really like those STI cars but the little neons are neato rides.

That's cool news. I think it'll be a similar engine to what's in the fiat 500 abarth.

On another dodge related note I drove a pentastar powered Durango (the one with the 8 speed trans) and it made me want to try an ecodiesel ram. That 8 speed shifts pretty nice, and when in manual mode (it has steering wheel mounted paddle shifters) it actually holds the gears like jaeger (not like my brothers challenger or my parents srt charger that will still up shift at the red line in manual mode) that engine did alright too for what it is. Obviously it felt slow compared to my nearly 500whp 4th gen, but it was only 20km/hr slower in one of our family test stretches than jaeger

House renovation is going 100% balls out, and I even scooped up a nice 1979 John Deere 214, 46" deck with a snow thrower for the front. Got it down to $325...runs good and cuts beautifully. I love the variator drive on it.

Need to get some work done on the pile so it'll make the trip to Lenox.

I start at the plant on the 19th.

Life is good my friends, I am truly blessed.

Congrats on the Girl Ike. Glad things are going good for you.

Thanks Zach. MidAmerican can hold an individual six months, and there is the 30 day recall period...so I could go back to busting my knuckles if I want to. I figured you'd drive the crew to Lenox?

that's wild.... yours must have been a freak of nature, I have heard of some factory cars being quite a bit faster than others......with the sti having 70 hp more and 4x4 and on 0-60 and 1/4 mile tested at a full second faster on both, no wonder you still have that little rocket.

I thought 120 days was nuts lol....I'll bring the crew but thought about\hoping to bring both. Trailer the shortbox since it's only 2hours from my parents.
