Well, I figured the miles driven for last weekend and this week since I was out training for work...1167 total. No clue on fuel mileage, guessing 16-17 mpg. Lots of crosswind and headwind. Found out that 315's with 3.07's isn't a good combination with Nebraska's interstate speed, got the engine a little warm. Otherwise, pretty uneventful...The Pile never skipped a beat. One thing is for certain, I won't take it out without working A/C and radio...1167 miles of just the hum of the engine to listen to...

No AC really sucks! Once the sun starts beating on dash you're screwed. It went behind a cloud and within a minute my dash dropped 10*. I've come to enjoy cloudy days on my ride to the west.

Well crap. :(

My local track won't be opening this year. It was recently bought, and the new owner has been rebuilding/upgrading the poo out of the complex. The usual construction delays continue . . . . ..

Crap. Can't track-tune the heap's new mess relatively close to home.

So I'm flipping through my new Diesel Power and I get to page 64. I'm like WTH, I recognize that farm in the back ground. Sure enough that photo shoot was done 10 miles from my house. I'd seen the truck before in a shop, but I wouldn't know the owner from Adam.

That's the second DP featured truck from Lafayette. The other is a mega cab 2.5" puller owned by the manager of a rival rental store. Lafayette is on the map!

Fair point, but they just got a new editor. His goal is to be less of a stock-engine-show-truck-on-20"-black-rims (BORING in my opinion) and more of a not-over-the-top-daily-driver-that makes-good-power (more realistic and mainstream in my opinion). Although I have read several features on trucks that I consider stock (stock= drop in turbo at most with a factory long block), it's an alright rag. I can't complain, my mom buys the subscription for my birthday.

I put new injectors in Dad's 7.3L this morning. It took just a bit under 4 hours from popping the hood to taking a test drive. Definitely not worth paying a shop $400+ to do the job  That DeWalt impact I bought is hands down the best ~$100 I've spent in a long time. 8)

Did you do stock injectors Caleb? What did they run you and where did they come from?

Phuck yea, stock injectors! Been down that road with my Dodge!

Swamps Diesel, $1200, plus a $1200 core. I think the core charge is a bit out hand, but it is a core and I could have avoided it if I was willing to let the truck be down for more than a day. 5 year/200k mile warranty which is the best I've ever seen.

Oh, you had it easy. My whole week was way worse than that. I had emissions problems on a loader Tuesday and a backhoe on Wednesday, the codes in the machines weren't in the service manuals and I had no way to figure out even what wires to check. Thursday was more of the same but Friday wasn't too bad. Only day I got home before 5pm was Friday and I was still late. So much for trying to get things done at home while the weather is nice. :(

That's not so bad. I got 85% of my turbo swap done on jaeger today with my brothers help. The s467 didn't come in so the s480 is currently mounted to my steed speed manifold, and has currently been run about 3 minutes after waiting almost a year and a half. Frankly it sounds badass, and I'm excited to see how it runs with the tune I've built. Also I arced out one of my batteries and burned my fingers. I swore many times after doing that. Then I drank a butch of scotch, and I feel a little better
