Indeed it will be. The 2 things I have to do before I set out are fix my damn oil drain again, so it won't leak on the trip, and build a sleeper for the bed, so I can have a proper bed to sleep in

Tore the tractor down last night to fix an oil leaking head gasket. Turns out we got lucky and pulled it apart when we did. It was lifting the head and letting compression leak out. I guess 65 pounds of boost at 40 degrees of pump timing will do that. $1200 later studs new gasket and fire rings are on the way. Trying to have it back together by Thursday.

They use the data streaming portion of my plan ....which cost extra
I use to have unlimited streaming for listening to pandora and what not but slipped off into listening to a lot of news radio and such,so I unwittingly drop that when I switched phones and was told by the sales associate that an fm radio was on the iPhone.
You just can't imagine the schit I raised at that store when I figured out what was up :bom:

Has anyone seen this before? It's a DPS manifold that's developed a small hole.

The pic makes it look bigger than it really is and makes it look like it comes straight out. It's angled towards the rear. I didn't buy it new, but I'm still gonna contact DPS and see if anyone else has had this happen.

DMan, make a frame that fits in the stake pockets and throw a tarp over it, instant tent. I also thought about getting some 3/4 inch PVC and just bending it from 1 stake pocket to the other for the covered wagon look. It will be cheap, store easily and set up easy too.

I meant put the cover up when you get there, if it rains on the way your mattress may not be so comfortable. ;)

I might figure some way of making it foldable, and do it so it looks like a tonneau cover folded down. If I do it right it should be waterproof

Well pulled again tonight. Paul pulled the light class and the steering cylinder popped the tie rods off. Little welding and back up and running. I pulled the heavy class. Had a good hook going was a little swervy but ok til 280 feet and popped the hub again. It ran better than it ever has. Can't wait to see the data on what it did. Then on the way home a friend had Toter trouble. He uses an IH 190 to haul his Massey on. Block decided it didn't like where the rod was so it came out to say hello. Ended up pulling the truck home with the hot 1155 Massey. Made for a long and eventful evening.
