They're hoping it's all thyroid related and meds should fix it. Amazing how 1 part affects all the others.

I picked up a new toy today. I posted a pic on my FB page. Boy the ol' lady was pissed! I stole it for $1800. Guy listed it in the spring for $3400, then dropped the price all summer. A month ago he dropped it from 2400 to 23, so I figured I'd take a look at it. I don't know why it didn't sell, it's in mint condition for the year. I may list it on the 'bay and roll it over in the spring. I'm sure I can get at least $3200 for it there.

Tork makes some of the sweetest tools. Those little things that other companies don't take the time to bother with. Makes so many jobs so much quicker.

I've got the tork teck one for 24 valves, and it looks and works great.

On another note. After 12 days, 2 countries, 10 states, 2 provinces, and 5103 miles I am home. Now I just have to get those traction bars put on, and I'll be ready (not really) to go back to work

Okay for you GM guys out there. My brother and his friend are swapping engines in his friends 96 Chevy 1500. They bought a running 91 TBI took it apart and changed heads, intake and some other stuff. They can't get it to run. Its still has the flat tappet can in it and they were wondering if that has anything to do with it. I haven't even looked at it so I have no idea what's up.

I bet the didn't swap timing covers. The vortec motor relies on a crank sensor to fire the coil, not the distributor. It's there to direct fire and to tell the computer where it's pointing only.
The cam makes no difference, firing orders are the same.
He'll need to swap cover and timing gears along with the crank tone wheel.

He did all of that Ellis and it still won't start. It will stumble when it tries to start and I smell gas really strong. I just called him. He said he is getting three codes. One was mass flow and he knew it was unplugged. He is also getting a map code and a random miss fire code.

Then he has the distributor indexed wrong, there's nothing else that'll cause it not to start.

That's what I told him and he told me I'm wrong. Lol this is why I don't help him much. He is in my way now though so it needs to run.
