Mr. Mod, already swinging that E-peen.

I wanted to dig up the writeup for putting a relay on your regulator sense circuit for that fellow that asked about his truck burning up regulators, but he's already got his 15 other answers and is insistent on changing the alternator no matter what.
Tough to even care.

Speaking of my supreme wiring knowledge, after failing so far to get the AC compressor to cycle with the switch, the RC had its first meltdown.

Somehow it must have been trying to cycle my nonexistent grids and a bump threw one of the small relay wires onto a fender bolt. Melted my key-on feed wire from the battery and up past where the duckbill is. I've got it loomed so I'm not sure how far it got, but it didn't go past the bulkhead connector so the cab wiring is still safe.

Truck was still idling away too, so the circuit itself is still intact.
I'll report my findings on the compressor tomorrow. I can run it by grounding the wire that goes into the cycle switch, so I figure it's no good.
