Not sure what you mean by the massive debt increase Dman, he is only talking about a measly 10 billion per year. Canadians pay 50 billion per year in INTEREST to private banks each year. 10 bil ain't much compared to the 700 bil we already in debt. Our debt went up 200ish billion in last 10 years. Burn the federal reserve or buy it back for 450 million. (US) These 10-12 private banks that control our PUPPET governments have trillions of dollars unaccounted for. Canada's debt was 10-20 billion from 1867-1974. Then we went private. And compound interest screwed us just a few years later. So you see, it doesn't really matter who wins, you just get a different puppet version of a story. Why do you think Kennedy got shot? For trying to eliminate private banking from government. So I guess no one has the balls now to do so. Or they are silenced. Sorry BC, this is getting political, feel free to delete this.

Hi I'm Caleb. I'm new here. I used to own a 1st gen. I miss it every time I fill up.

Just stopping in to say hi and to see if the Pete, Levi, and Hineman love triangle is still a thing.

Since I don't do Facebook, figured I'd stop by to see how everyone is.

Funny you should ask Caleb! Jeff just asked for some role playing intercourse on the way to florida so Levi may be stopping in to ask for a meeting point!

Dar, that's different! I'm not used to bikes like that, rides nice, huh? My arm is all messed up for the last week or so, I didn't even want to ride mine when it was nice last week. :( I need to go for a short hop pretty quick to get the fuel stabilizer thru it before I park it for the winter.

yes rides very nice, I need to put some bar risers on it to bring them back a couple inches, my dang arms are so short I can barley reach what ever I am reaching for, I think my shoulder has the pinch point for my hand going to sleep, so hopefully bringing the bars back will help, cruse will help also. even though it's only a 650 V twin it's super torque and delivers 55 MPG with all the boxes on. Something occurred to me yesterday. When I was poking around on compd looking for info on an s478 I got a pm from someone offering an 80/87 with no comp wheel, and since s480's and s478's have the same compressor exducer it wouldn't take any machining to put a 78 wheel into that cartridge. I never replied because I wasn't really interested in paying $950 for something I'd still need to get a wheel, housing, and balance done on, but then I got to thinking I could get another 83/74 turbine wheel/shaft, and a 478 wheel & cover, get that assembly balanced, and stick it in my current s480 cartridge, and voila I'd have my very own s478 to play with. getting the extra turbine wheel would be so I have the matched set for my 480, and could go back to it if I were so inclined.

Anyone else think that's a solid plan?

Philip, whats your impression of the fatmat? I just ordered 100sqft of the 80mil "rattle trap" stuff. I also got around to ordering a downpipe to fit my pacbrake. Its looking like florida trip is a go.

DMan, my S472 was only $850 new, so unless that S480 is a way bigger or better turbo I don't think that's any kind of a deal, especially with the wheel missing. Have you priced new S480's?

Jeff, Philips truck is real quiet. It also added quite a bit of weight to the doors, they close with a solid "thunk", not a tinny "clink" like we are used to.

An S478 is an expensive turbo, as they are not a box turbo.

I may be wrong on this, but I've still never had anyone confirm (with a p/n) that a S478 is a full Borg turbo. The 78 wheel I have never found.

The t6 s480 I have cost me $1200, and the t4 s480 I have on jaeger cost me a little over $2000, but no I wasn't thinking $950 was any kind of a good deal for a charger that's missing a wheel. Hence why I never replied to him. It just planted the idea.

It sure would be nice if Borg Warner had their site set up like Garrett's.

Jeff - Pete covered it pretty good. I also have lizard skin under the fat mat.

Jeff 100square ft is going to be close. I used about 110 ft in mine. But I was all the way up to the windshield on the fire wall.

I slept at the georgia welcome center on 75 once. I was nervous but nothing invaded any of my body cavities. the museum i wanna hit is the mighty 8th airforce museum in Pooler, GA. Supposedly they have a b17 mission simulator i want to check out

Im not pulling the dash. Ill go as far as 100sqft will get me. i also have carpet glued to the back wall that may not come down. i figure the floor roof and doors will be a substantial improvement. Speaking of, i ordered it off ebay direct from fatmat for $165. Everywhere else had it for $199 (keep in mind this is the thicker 80mil stuff).

So turns out when teachers from different schools gather they do some fun stuff, and when you and some friends happen to take a table that they might've used you can get invited to the games they play, so tonight was pretty fun for me. Also schooners are really quite a nice sized beer
