Go easy on me Brian; I'll always be a newbie compared to you.
I thought you did the 480 with a ported cylinder head? I don't remember. If you can get some more cc's out of my pump, I'll be glad to send it to you. Since PDR rebuilt it this summer it has not had the umph it used too.
62/71/14; Yes. Towed yet; no. I know it will be as good or better than the last turbo (64/65/14). Spoolup is the same or better than the old setup. They are that close.
Don; I don't use corrected rwhp numbers as they are not accurate. You have to watch hp numbers with guys in the Rocky Mountain states. That goes for May Madness too. I have seen correction factors anywhere from 10-27%. I guarantee you if I were to run on David Dunbars dyno near sea level, it would probably be very to close to my uncorrected numbers.
The correction factor was something like 15% yesterday; accurate for a naturally aspirated engine but not for a turbocharged engine.
When I hand calculate my 1/4 times and speed against my weight, the corrected numbers usually match, which is flywheel horsepower.
I need to go to Autozone. Recieved an email today saying my truck is in Diesel World this month. Gotta check it out.
