- It turns out the rear brake caliper flex hoses I installed with the new rear axle have a lifetime warranty. The good folks at FineLinesinc.com replaced them at no charge.
- When I assembled the TwinRam intake, I thought I could reuse the two gaskets that go under the grid-heaters. I thought wrong.
Blowing them out playing resulted in a couple of BIG boost-leaks. Tapped-out a couple of replacements to fix that.
- Every one of the cab-heat, trans exchanger type hose connections have eventually wept at least once. WTH?!
- When I assembled the Fluidamper, I flat failed to locate/confirm the tic-mark I made on it representing TDC. Crap! Had to get the wife to pull the engine over while I leaned on the timing-pin. HAH! Come to find the tic-mark was there where it needed to be. (One in four chances of getting it right). I still need to make and affix a new timing-tape.

- Changed out the break-in 10W30 lube-oil for the regular 15W40 plus a Zinc supplement. New oil-filter.
- The new engine is approaching 1000 miles. I still don't have the nuts to beat on it hard like I did the former. That being said, I have wound it up under load to 35~3800 and it runs smoothy.
- Been dialing-in the transmission over-drive and converter lock-up points for regular, normal highway driving. The converter lock-up has been the challenge trying to stop unnecessary smoke under low RPM loads. (Getting under the turbos gets smoky).
- Started doing a little IP tuning. I think a typical throttle-mod has been a big contributor to case-pressure sag @ WOT (in my case/application). Dicking with it briefly has a sensible seat-of-the-pants improvement.
- I've a couple of data-logger sensor/wiring issues I've got to address. I really need them working right to make better sense as a tuning tool.
- The phacking monsoon in NC has finally taken a break. With that, simply as a pleasant change from working under the hood, I polished the rims.
It must be noted that the local track had their 1st TNT of the season last week. Oh my.
