Not a whole lot to say about this, since we just bought a conversion kit and all, but I thought you guys might be interested in it:
(I'll swap them to thumbnails when I get home)
It had a 6.0 that refused to start once it had warmed up. It would start and run like new if it had been shut off for a day, but if it ran for more than 15 minute or so it would start losing power. If shut off it would refuse to start again until the next day. The company put about $4000 or so into trying to get it fixed, then we finally talked them into a Cummins. We called Destroked, since that's THE name that always comes up for this stuff, but when we asked about calling them if we got stuck, they basically (literally) said " if you have to ask how to do it, you shouldn't be trying it."
Needless to say, we called the FordCummins guys the next day and had a kit on the way. Went in easy enough, with no severe headaches, and anytime we called they did everything they could to get us back on track. Great company.
The original owners, for whatever reason, ordered it with 4.88 gears, so it runs about 3K at 65 MPH. Other than that, it's a pretty sweet ride, and the old man's new baby.
