flexed out bed

Postby keeganquiroz » Sat Sep 10, 2011 9:34 pm

Hey I noticed my bed sits about 3/4" higher on one side than the other.

I've checked around the frame and didn't see any problems but just found this kind of weird. It's not the first time I've heard about it either.

How common is this anyway?

When I took mine off to put the flatbed on, I had almost 2 " of body shims under the front right corner, and none on the left side

My 93 was shimmed like crazy from the factory too. I even shimmed it more when I put it back together to get the trim to run in a straight line instead of a bow. I don't think they put much time in getting things right. Quality control in Mexico, nada.

Mine has shims. Seen them in there when I install my hitch plate and thought maybe some body had done it cause there are different shaped shims in it. Then again mine has the mexico plant sticker too

Man, you guys need to check the build dates on your trucks! It seems like they are all monday or friday trucks. Mine was built on a wednesday and it doesn't have any shims. ;)

I don't mind the ganging part, it was the banging part I didn't like! :(
Wasn't an STD, turns out the modem is a wireless router and I had the wifes router in line also. Big NO NO my geek told me.
