Got some more new parts today.

Postby pulltilbroke » Wed Feb 16, 2011 5:24 pm

Just got these today, now I can finally dump the stupid tall dodge blocks. These are the hangars that Jungle over on RCC makes. Very high quality and very beefy

I hate to ask " what did that cost " But, what the hell did that cost? PM me if you like. I hate the factory blocks too, but I just put on new hangers ( all 4 ) in the rear 2 years back. I bet that will take away alot of the massive wheel hop the tall blocks give.

For all the hangars, poly bushings, grease bolts, sleeves and all the hardware to mount to the frame it came to just under 500 before shipping.

Thats about what Dodge wanted for just the hangers. Looks like a nice setup. ;)

Andrew did you get him to add lift into the setup other than like using the stock hangers and flipping them?

These will give about 5" or so of lift. I won't be lifting my truck anymore but I will get rid of the blocks. I might have to run a short block depending on what I do with the springs

Are there holes in the frame those bolt straight into?

Those would seem to provide a good opportunity to swap to some longer leaves to get a little better ride out of your truck.

Yep, once you knock all the old rivets off and get rid of the factory junk they are about as bolt on as you can get. Jim also make this setup so you can use the chevy 56" leaves also. I am not after ride quality if I was I would have bought a new foo foo Chevy. Its a truck and should ride like one.

Yea, I agree.

Very slightly. :P

I do kind of wish the rear of my truck rode as well as the front, and the front is nowhere near as nice as dad's CR truck, so if I get the chance I'll definitely be getting new rear leaves.

Besides, the last time me and the missus went out to eat I hit a pothole in the lot and she ended up laying on the dashboard. She's held that sthi over my head ever since.

Seatbelts are for interstates, not parking lots. :P

That's the way I've always looked at it anyways. I rarely wear my seatbelt when I'm cruising the backroads around the house, but I always have it on once I hit anything St. Route or bigger. It's on no matter what.

I do find it odd how often I have to tell her to put it on, considering how often she refers to my truck as "dangerous" or "deathtrap".

I don't wear mine on the way to work, but do on the way home, unless the weather is real bad, then it's on anyways. I have little kids, so I wear it alot more than I used to. It IS the Law here ya know! Click it or Ticket!

I gotta say driving my truck to work every day through boston....I wish it had a foofy chevy suspention, I've got a stack of 8 rubber 4x6 stall mats in the back that don't even take the bite off it, they easily weigh 85lbs a piece, im thinking ill try and make a set of spring hangers myself, pullit, do the front mounts drop the front of the spring down alot? When do u think a longer drive shafts needed?
