Didn't have my front end aligned but when my steering wheel was not straight it was because my power steering bracket was cracked. Happen twice.

I know this sounds like a dumb quesiton. Is it an easy crack to find or do you have to know just what you are looking for?

first one I had to really look for. The second time it happen I could see it pretty easy and it was in different place. If this happens to be your problem I saw somewhere that there is a brace/bracket to help prevent this problem, just can't remember where at the moment but I do want to get one.

just saw this on another forum bc847 posted it. Not sure if it is the same bracket I was referring to: VHappens to an alarming number of first gens, mine included.

If I'm correct with the model, there's a reinforcement bracket that Dodge used on the Ramchargers that attach's to the inside of the frame, opposite the steering box mounting bracket.

Not only does it help lessen the stress on the bracket, it also helps reduce this . . . . . Maybe BC847 can tell us more Part #?
