Warm it up with a torch, you're going to change the seal anyways. The hex is the locknut, loosen that, then you should have a spanner for the 2 holes. I have used 2 punches with a bar in between, but it's a bitch. The center piece (with the 2 holes) unscrews out, the shaft will come with it, be careful. You should be able to push the shaft back as you remove it so it stays. I didn't as my shaft was rusty and I changed the whole input assembly with one from my donor truck. When you assemble it, screw it back in until snug, then back off 1/8th turn. Drive it and see if it feels loose or tight, then readjust if necessary. If it feels sloppy, turn it in a little, tight, turn it out.
