help! need advice 4 inches or 6.

Postby pillsbury556 » Wed Feb 22, 2012 7:01 pm

Of lift that is. I drive offroad quite a bit going with the skyjacker kit and crossover highsteer. I want to clear 35s no problem and not rub when wheeling. Will 6 inches look too big for 35s?

depends on how tall the truck is now, I can clear 37's with about 3 inches of lift up front, and cut fenders, you will probably be fine with 4 inches and 35's

although a crossover is usually a bit cleaner the more the lift...

I have 33's on a stock height so I would think a 2-4" would suffice.

Im worried that 4 inches wont make enough room for the high steer. Ugh i hate expensive decisions

Guys have done crossover steer with 2" of lift. IMO, go with 4" lift. Less stress on the cv, and you may get by without lengthening the shaft.

I have 35's on stock (sagged) with only a tiny bit of rubbing.

The 4" lift isn't enough on the 92 I had. The 35s rub on turns, with a modest droop or rise. Fine on the flat.
