1 ton vs. 3/4 ton rear springs...gas vs. diesel also

Postby Diesel » Mon Jul 02, 2012 11:45 am

So I got home an utterly overpriced gas 1993 one ton for my 4WD swap. Obviously I need the rear to come up as much as the front will be lifted to run the 4wd axle AND I want to keep the 1 ton overload leafs. Can I just run my stock 1991.5 3/4 ton springs along with the 1 ton block and overload to sit level or will I need to run the 1 ton rear springs from the gas 1 ton I just bought?

I would try adding the block first, along with the overloads and see how you like the looks of it there. If not, add the spring pack ;)

IF you run the 1 ton rear springs, IIRC, the spring eye bolt's diameter is larger on the 1 tons.
Measure to be sure.

The 92 W250 and the 93 W350 here both use 3/4" diameter bolts. Not sure about a gasser, though.
