It's more of a plateau, where I parked it was flat, it had to get to the hill to make me look stupid. :P

My truck used to steer really sharply to the left but wouldn't turn for crap to the right. The old man never had the pitman arm off but he did go through a few draglinks in that time. It makes no sense why the factory Dodge draglink has no adjustment in it. :?

PO installed a chevy box and draglink on mine. Reamed the pitman arm to match. I added some length and it still doesnt steer correctly. At least it wont turn either direction evenly.

Hit some trails again last night, we did a little camping over by a pond near T-dubs house. I decided to surprise everyone and squeeze the Dodge in a trail that had only had fourwheelers on it before.

Came through it easy with a spotter, that extra steering was priceless. 8)

^not the actual trail, just a flexy spot on the way up.

You have two ramchargers or did you give up on them.

Yeah, I've got one of them sitting on sawhorses with no running gear or frame under it and the other one was one planning on using for my swap. I'm seriously debating on that still, I've got Tyler's old truck here to cut that firewall piece out of and it's a lot less rusty than that grey one...

Doesn't matter, I can't make myself part the Dodge so until I find another truck to gut it's just gonna sit there. :?

My photographer/spotter was drinking, I didn't realize how drunk until I saw these pics.

Runs alright, I haven't messed with anything since I kinda burned myself out fabbing the whole thing. It drives around really well so I've just been running it like it is.

I need to change the rearmost ujoint and I think my clutch pedal is about to eat through the master cylinder rod, I've got a mystery short in my brake lights/blinkers still, and I need to put hinge pins in and reseal my door.

I don't wanna do any of it.

He pussed out, decided his driveway didn't have room for two derelict vehicles.

I was glad, I would have had to fix all that crap before we left.

Finally getting around to fixing some of that crap.

I was driving through the underpass by the house and heard something small and metallic bouncing out from under the truck. I already knew what it was, the double springs I had jammed under the caliper had decided to move out. It had been clunking for a while now, but I just figured they were settling.

Nope, they were gone. Everything was gone.

Even the damn shim plate that the bolt "holds" in. I decided to get the new, thicker one I ordered off Rockauto many moons ago. I don't think it'll make it past the bolt.
(Comparing new, stock one to the thicker one)

Then I packed everything full of clear silicone and hammered the spring in there. I don't think it'll be randomly falling out anymore, no matter what.

Next was the doors. I've got to admit, I'm pretty jealous of you guys using floor jacks and boards to hold your doors up. You don't know how good you've got it.

Driver's door closes beautifully now, passenger's acts like the truck was bit by a bus. Nothing lines up anywhere. I said screw it and stacked some washers in the lower hinge to get it to hit the striker right. The rest can deal with it.

I'm about to do the ujoint, then maybe the clutch pedal if my interest holds out. It's getting pretty rough on my synchros. I've got to get it done this weekend though, Grand Theft Auto 5 drops Tuesday and I've got lots of hookers to kill.
