Ford still has the best plow truck out of the big three in my opinion but the PSD is just guttless down low where its needed. Honestly its guttless across the board. I like plowing with the 5.4 at work but it also loves to rev to the moon so that helps. Its actually stronger down low then my power stroke. I'm thinking about trtyi g to sell the engine and trans as a combo and put a Cummins in my ext. Cab build.

Na....seriously ford has some good stuff, diesel stuff just ain't their strong point. They've over engineered and over complicated just about every aspect of the diesel engine for their truck starting from the 6.0. It borders on insanity the lengths they've gone just to have a diesel and all the while shoving a huge time bomb bill on tbe public. Not the first person that bought the newer trucks as they came out knew about having to totally dismember the truck to do any major job to it

Not even close to Dr. Phil.....he's about ten spots below me  ......

I would love a 4th gen. 3500 mega cab dually 6spd man cummins. but when I priced them and seen that my payments would be more than my rent...or a house payment I shut the computer....

Did you know Dr. Phil isn't a doctor? No degree. I read that someplace, and thought "it figures!". I hate him, he's a dink stain, just another Jerry Springer.

Dreaming of $50-60k trucks is common in my demographic. Even if I had $50k, I'd just have a 4x4 version of what I have now

I've been trying to buy Dodge hydroboost units lately and I can't seen to get anyone to let one go for under $100. I think I'm a little better versed in Dodge parts than the average Craigslist buyer. I've also come to the conclusion that I am undoubtedly cheap

I don't like how everyone and their freakin brother thinks their mega cab is worth way more  I just want a standard crew cab. Although a 4th gen similar to my pile (3500, regular cab, manual trans) would be kinda cool...

So my cousin is a welder fabricator and he made these:

I'm not sure the size of the pipe I think he said 1 or 1.5 pipe I can't remember the bung is 3\4 npt. Do you think that will be big enough of a supply??? most I've seen are bigger in diameter but I don't see why this wouldn't work....I'm gonna run one anyways lol.

Speaking of my 4th gen. I drove the 600+ kilometres home on my single event tune. It was pretty nice hearing that comforting rattle again. Decided to do a WOT pull just before my turn off, so I floored it, got up to about 155-160. Rail pressure sat at 22k, boost hit 37psi. Then backing out of it my check engine light came on. Turns out I popped all six injector circuit open codes (I think that means too much duration was called for) also realized there's another rail pressure map that we can't see on top of the 14 I can already play with

I don't see why that wouldn't work. I think the hole in my Bean's Diesel sump (that I haven't installed yet) is 1/2" NPT. My worry would be height but it looks like it's only 1-1/4" - 1-1/2" tall. I can't tell by looking, but you may want to tap the holes the inner ring. All the less work to do on the inside.

I hope the drop is wide enough to hold fuel in it. Most sumps I've seen are 2.5 to 3 inches across. My new Sinister Diesel one is that big.
And Caleb is right, all the sumps have a threaded ring, how are you going to reach in and hold the nut with a wrench?

Any guesses why there is a gooseneck hooked to my truck? Only hint I'll give, as impossible as it is to believe, is that it does not involve towing a Ford.
