Yes they do... that's why I'm positive it'll work, I just can't confirm that it'll plug right in.

That's what I thought but the guy swore it was an ho. I'll have to get the numbers off it and check to make sure. either he's wrong about it being a 99 or he's wrong about it being an ho.

I run into nearly every day... folks that claim they have a "HO". Especially in the early Common Rails, when they still only offered it in the manuals.

It cracks me up.... like it is a big deal to them, that their truck is "extra powerful" from the factory.

yeah, I'm getting this third hand. Its a friend of my cousins pump, so my cousin is going by what his friend is telling him. and I'm going by what my cousin is telling me. I need to get the numbers off it. do you know the pump numbers between the so and ho?? also, if I put an so on an ho will there be noticeable power loss?? I think in my digging the injectors will be smaller on the HO than SO, and timing differences.

I don't know enough about the vp trucks to be able to answer that correctly.

I don't have a clue power wise,but it'll run your truck,plug in and all that jazz. i swapped pumps off a late 98/early 99 onto a 2001 HO truck,it ran fine.

I never noticed a difference on my truck from HO to SO.

I tell people I have an HO VE all the time.

Ellis, when you're running farm trucks (always right at 79,999 lbs ;) ) the tar and feather is way better than pavement on a county maintained road. It'll flex some and pavement will just crack. The county paved the road in front of my work and less than 2 years later tar and feathered it.

If he isn't after big power it won't matter which pump he runs.

Don't give a damn, that stuff is trash. Farther more if that stuff was better than asphalt every interstate should be covered in it.
I think that it's application error myself

I'm betting the interstate has more money in the maintenance fund than the county does.

But yes, if the honyocks putting it down don't pay attention, then sure it gets screwed up. Road bed prep still applies too.

If he's got the right programmer he could end up with more power. I creeped on the 98-02 section a while back, and they said hot rod vp44's are usually pretty much so pumps.

4th gen guys seem to do that jabbering about ho trucks too. Thing is with a programmer they make the same power numbers, so it's more like the ho guys are getting jipped on the torque

Caleb, it's Han Yak, he's from Korea. Don't make fun of him just because he's different from you. In his country there are only 2 kinds of roads, dust and mud, so he's still learning.
