Slightly overestimated travel time, and I'm currently about 2 hours from there right now. I hope that's not a problem

Due to a new job, I have to sell my truck. My commute went from 150 miles a week to 150 per day. I can't afford the truck for the first year and I need the money for a cheap commuter. Glad to be out of the POS place I have been. 8 years and 1 manager screws it up for me. All for the better though.

So I am going to do a quick sell. Hoping to get $3k but I'll settle for $2500.

AT&T Premise Technician. I'll be installing UVerse and DirectTV for awhile before they get me going on the business stuff they are hiring me for.

Sounds good. I'll take you for a spin in the 06. Assuming that is nothing breaks by then.

I've always been open with things.........so far all to see (referring to trans choice, many dis agreed with it). I'm already having trans issues. Need to put it on the scanner to see what's up.

We shall see if the truck, or trans is at fault.......an how things pan out.

I gotcha. Family is definitely more important than any truck.

Eric that's sucky. Hope he helps you out with it.

To be honest.........same stupid symptoms last trans had. Re cap over the last week.............

First 3 days trans shifted solid, very firm, and consistent. Then it started shuttle shifting the 2-3. As in one time it'll shift at 20, the next it'll hold 2nd til 30. = gov pressure problems right..........through it on the scanner and it proved this. Actual gov pressure was all over the place below about 30mph. And sometimes doing a nasty shuttle back and forth.....ya know the shuttle shift non sense.

I changed the gov pressure solenoid and gov pressure sensor. Jeff agreed, it sounded like the "transducer" (as he calls it).

Made no change at all. It is now shifting the 2-3 shift VERY softly and more sluggish (this has been going on since about day 3.......progressively getting worse). The 1-2 shift is still strong, etc........

The 2-3 has a mild "bind" to it as well.

Now, minus the getting softer thing........the shuttle is not consistent. Not even close. May drive for miles at 25mph...........and then out of nowhere it freaks out. May not do it for the rest of the day. This makes me think it is something in the truck (harness, wiring, etc.........).

I have not yet got it on the scanner to look at things after I replaced the solenoid and sensor. Doing this tomorrow will hopefully tell a lot.

On a side note, Anarchy changed a few parameters on the tuning.... holy crap.

I was trying to see how it shifted at wot yesterday.........this apparently an not be done without being in 4wd. If I'm doing anything under 70mph (on the daily driver tune mind you), it literally blows the tires off. I mean like truck at a 45 degree angle instantly and speedo at 100+ blowing the tires off.

The truck is literally flipping insane to drive. I have not put it in 4wd yet and gotten on it.

Front servo? What does that control?

Pushes on the apply lever for the front band, like a piston. If a seal is messed up it can't build enough pressure to apply the front band. If the seal is rolling the lip, sometimes it'll seal and sometimes it won't. You'll also see band material and band adjustment loosening. It may display as a gov issue as it can't build the pressure and appear erratic.

I am not a builder but it makes sense. My buddies firepunk did the same and he ended up with roasted direct clutches. Lavon rebuilt it under warranty.

Image

The upper left hand of the pic has the apply lever. It sits in a dish. That dish is the front servo.
