No part out coming on the Dakota. Looking for a 727 for a 440 though.

It sure is nice how the cummins can adapt to so many transmissions with those different plates. If only more gas engines could do that

There really wasnt a need. Cummins went in many different manufacturer's vehicles. A 360 or 440 had no need to be adapted to anything but a chrysler transmission 99% of the time

They could have been like GM and ran pretty much the same bellhousing on all of them.

Too bad you didn't have bigger wheels, I bet it was a bitch to get it started up the ramps!

Yeah, that always got me too, dodge has either a big block or small block bell housing, and a chevy is 1 size fits all. Made it a PITA to throw a big block in if you didn't have the trans for it or the money to buy one.

Oh it was a pain in the ass because the guys driveway I had to back up a hill to the garage. We used a floor jack and the winch on the trailer to pull it on. Now it came right off at the house. I have a 518 at home and may do this.

I was wondering how that would work and then read "cut off bell housing, bolts to pump". Nice idea, but $413? That's a lot of money to me!

If not that you have to run a safety blanket on the Bellhousing that's a couple hundred alone.

Andy if you want to run a stick shift. I have 3 Dodge 833's laying around. Two are B body trans, one A body. All are big block trans.

Come and get them.
